Officer Oren Wright responds to a disturbance call outside a convenience store. He arrives to find two women arguing and beginning to get physical. When Officer Wright attempts to detain one of them, she kicks his leg and struggles as she’s taken into custody. After talking to both parties it is discovered that the women are best friends who were arguing because one of them was at the beach all day drinking. The intoxicated friend sobs in the back of the patrol car as she recounts the story. She goes to jail for disorderly conduct and assault and battery on an officer.

Why Law Enforcement | I always wanted to be a Police Officer as long as I remember. If I had any doubts those were dismissed when I was 19 and my aunt and her 8 year old son were murdered by her fiancé, who I was supposed to give her away to at their wedding. |
First Arrest | My first arrest I can recall was on my 2nd or 3rd day , we arrested a kid for breaking into a car. He broke into the car , a witness called the Police, he ran off and we chased him down and made the arrest. |
Best part of the job | Helping people, making a positive impact on someone’s life. Arresting people that are hurting, robbing, selling drugs etc. |
Hobbies | Be with my Family as much as possible. Dates with my wife, Workout, go to the movies, get comics wth my daughters. |
Favorite Quote | 1. YOU CANT OUT RUN THE RADIO ( no matter how fast someone is if you can at least keep them in sight and give good info on the radio to other units, bad guys can’t get away) 2. IN LIKE A LAMB, OUT LIKE A LION ( when dealing with people even people that are yelling and angry., you can’t go into it yelling too, if you go into already escalated yourself there is no where else for you to go and that situation will almost always go from bad to worse, but if you go into it even tempered you can escalate as needed) 3. YOU WANT TO GO TO JAIL OR DO YOU WANT TO GO HOME? ( when I have someone on something that I can arrest for but I don’t necessarily have to arrest them and I need info and they are not quite willing to give it up…they may get that question) |
