Hazleton Patrolman Hutnik arrives at a location where a father has notified police that his son has barricaded himself in his apartment and is threatening to shoot his girlfriend should anyone enter. With the father’s help, the officers break into the apartment and begin to search for the suspect. As Hutnik goes to retrieve the gun, officers locate the suspect hiding under the kitchen cabinet. Taken into custody, the suspect apologizes for his behavior and reveals his mental health issues. He claims his intention was never to harm anyone, but to have a conversation with his father. Officers decide to take the suspect to the hospital for a 72-hour mental evaluation.
