|Why Law Enforcement?||I began my career as a Correctional Deputy Sheriff in my hometown. As my career progressed, I sought more interaction with the community, which drove me to become a Police Officer.|
|What was your first arrest?||My first arrest was a domestic violence incident. It was in one of the higher-crime parts of my city. I showed up and the victim had a black eye. She said she had called the police by mistake and the injury was from a fall in the shower.
I spent some time speaking with her and gaining her trust. Eventually, she admitted that her boyfriend had hit her. I was able to locate him nearby and arrest him. I helped her get a protective order to keep the boyfriend from coming back.
