ALBUQUERQUE POLICE OFFICERS ARE FLAGGED DOWN BY WHAT INITIALLY APPEARS TO BE A WOMAN IN A LEOPARD LEOTARD. HOWEVER, THEY QUICKLY DISCOVER THAT “SHE” IS ACTUALLY A “HE”, AND HE WAS APPARENTLY THE VICTIM OF A ROBBERY WHEN A WHITE MALE SUSPECT REACHED INTO THE CAB OF HIS SEMI-TRUCK AND STOLE HIS WALLET. COMPOUNDING MATTERS IS THE VICTIM’S CLAIM THAT WHEN HE CHASED THE SUSPECT A POLICE OFFICER PARKED NEARBY REFUSED TO OFFER ASSITANCE. THE VICTIM, WHO ALSO HAS EYE SHADOW AND PAINTED TOENAILS, IS IRATE AND UNCOOPERATIVE WITH THE OFFICERS. EVENTUALLY HE CALMS DOWN AND CHANGES CLOTHES. A SEARCH OF THE AREA TURNS UP HIS WALLET WITH EVERYTHING BUT A COUPLE OF CHECKS INTACT. THE VICTIM IS STILL ANGRY THAT THE POLICE OFFICER FAILED TO ASSIST HIM, BUT THE OTHER OFFICERS EXPLAIN THAT THE OFFICER HAD A SUSPECT IN CUSTODY AND HE WAS NOT ABLE TO LEAVE HIM UNATTENDED.
Officer Jeff Kilby of the Norwood (OH) Police Division assists an undercover unit on a traffic stop of a suspicious vehicle that was allegedly involved in drug activity. The occupants are taken into custody and questioned about their suspicious behavior. Drug paraphernalia and several oddly wrapped balls of tobacco are found during a search of the vehicle. When questioned about the tobacco, one of the suspects claims that he intended to smuggle it into jail.
While on routine patrol, Officer Joe Morgan of the Des Moines (IA) Police Department spots a speeding motorbike and gives chase. The fleeing suspect slips away after Officer Morgan misjudges the height of nearby train tracks – which disable his vehicle. While the officer advises dispatch to halt all impending traffic, he hears the horrifying sound of a fast approaching train. Fortunately, the train is redirected in time and a catastrophe is avoided — so he thinks. A little while later, a second train approaches from the opposite direction as several of Officer Morgan’s fellow officers anxiously try to figure out how to move the disabled vehicle. Eventually , the second train is also redirected and the vehicle is safely removed from its precarious position. The embarrassed officer’s amused supervisor wonders if he should change the officer’s evaluation.
Officer Ryan Cook of the Las Vegas Police Department pulls over a vehicle with a busted tail light. The female driver (who wearing a bikini) is questioned and claims that she was involved in a hit and run and did not have the car repaired. The officer runs her identification and is forced to impound the vehicle after he learns that she’s driving on a suspended license.
Deputy Keith Nessel and Deputy Brian Lopez of the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department respond to a shoplifting call at a local mall. The deputies spot a man that matches the description of the suspect and detain him for questioning. The man attempts to run, but is immediately tackled by the deputies. When the deputies locate crack cocaine, the man immediately says that they planted the drugs on him. The deputies explain that they don’t carry crack around to plant on people. When confronted with the drugs, the suspect states that not only isn’t that his carck, but the pants he has on aren’t his. The belligerent suspect is searched and secured. The deputies examine the drugs further and learn that the baggie contains what they assume is ecstasy.
